Looking at the quality, breadth, and depth of her work, it is hard to believe that Kayemee only recently acquired her first non-disposable camera in 2001. Born and raised in the Philippines, she moved to the United States in 1995. Finding herself in a completely different culture, she started High School in Chicago. Shortly thereafter, in 1999, she attended Southern Illinois University where she fulfilled her undergraduate studies in Radio & TV before moving to Los Angeles where she now resides. In 2003, she completed the Photography Program in Santa Monica College, studying all facets of film and digital photography while assisting working photographers in the cutting edge market of Los Angeles.
    Her global and cultural travels have given her the ability to document the world around her through the visual art of images, through the eye of a camera, "for I often can't find the words to describe things. Photography is a quick way for me to capture an image that says everything rather than to write a thousand words!"
